NewsFebruary 6, 2008: FoIKS 2008 will start off with a welcome cocktail, which will take place on Sunday 10th at 19.00 local time at the Hotel Santa Croce in Fossabanda. February 6, 2008: FoIKS 2008 will be held at the CNR Area in Pisa, which can be easily reached by taking the 7 LAM Verde bus service. Please refer to the transportation section for details. January 13, 2008: A preliminary program has been released. November 26, 2007: We are pleased to announce that Egon Börger, Jürgen Dix and Gyula O.H. Katona have accepted our invitation to present invited talks at FoIKS 2008. November 22, 2007: Registration is open now. November 12, 2007: A list of all accepted papers has been released. November 7, 2007: Information about Accommodation, Transportation, and Tourist Information is available now. November 1, 2007: We are pleased to announce that 22 papers have been accepted for presentation at FoIKS 2008. October 25, 2007: Author notifications will be delayed. The new due date is October 31. October 23, 2007: Camera-ready submission instructions are available now. September 13, 2007: We are pleased to announce that the ASL Executive Committee has approved ASL sponsorship of FoIKS 2008. Among other things, ASL sponsorship permits student ASL members to apply for (limited) ASL travel funds. August 16, 2007: Due to many requests, abstract and paper submission deadlines have been extended until August 29 (8pm, GMT). Accordingly, author notification has also been adjusted. August 3, 2007: Abstract and paper submission are open now. June 13, 2007: A first Call for Papers has been circulated via various channels including DBWorld, ISWorld, SEWorld and IT-Announce. June 04, 2007: The Call for Papers has been updated and symposium dates have been advised. In addition, the main FoIKS Web-site and all FoIKS symposia Web-sites are now available via the foiks.org domain. April 27, 2007: Deadlines for paper submission and author notification have been advised. April 11, 2007: We are pleased to announce that the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) has agreed to act as sponsor for FoIKS 2008 again. February 01, 2007: The Web-site for FoIKS 2008 goes live. |
